International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS) 

The International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS) is an association of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) dedicated to promoting business and industrial statistics worldwide. ISBIS promotes the application, research, and best practices of statistics in business and industry, facilitating technology transfer and bridging communication between members and practitioners worldwide.

The International Symposium on Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS 2024) is the main event of ISBIS. Since its beginning in Sydney in 2005, the biennial conferences have been held in the Czech Republic (2008), Slovenia (2010), Bangkok (2012), the USA (2014), Barcelona (2016), Greece (2018), and Italy (2022). In 2024, we are returning to the extraordinary Southeast Asia. The ISBIS 2024 will be held in Jogjakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, in collaboration with the Department of Statistics of the Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Furthermore, Paulo Canas Rodrigues and Nathaniel are taking the lead in organizing the 2024 International Symposium of Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS 2024) in Yogyakarta. The ISBIS 2024 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry actively involved in the development and application of statistical and computational methods for business and industrial applications. Both Paulo and Nathaniel have invited us to be a part of the Scientific Program Committee (SPC). The upcoming ISBIS 2024 is set to take place in Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia from july 11-13, 2024.
